In 1976 Margaret Thatcher and her colleagues moved into a new meeting room at the House of Commons. Ever since, it has been the home of the Shadow Cabinet, whether Labour or Conservative. In 2007, Lady Thatcher returned to her old offices, along with her successors as Conservative Leaders of the Opposition, Mssrs Hague, Duncan Smith, Howard and Cameron.
